Will This Gate Fit?
Gate size
Our ready-made matching composite gate is supplied as:
1800mm high and widths from 800mm wide to 1200mm wide.
This is the size of the gate leaf itself, not necessarily the exact size of the opening required.
Allow space for hinges and lock keep
When measuring your opening, you must allow extra space for the hinges, lock keep/latch and adjustment.
The technical guide shows a typical required gap of 30mm plus the width of your gate, allowing for the hinge and lock keep allowance.
Check before ordering
- Your opening is wide enough for the chosen width gate plus hinge/lock allowance
- Your opening is high enough for the 1800mm gate plus hinge clearance
- The wall, existing post or Dino Decking black aluminium post is suitable and secure
- The gate has enough ground clearance to open and close
- The gate can swing in the direction you need
- The lock keep/latch can line up correctly
Fitting to Dino black aluminium posts
The gate can be mounted to a Dino Decking black aluminium fencing post. The supplied lock keep/latch is designed to fit into the slot/channel of Dino Decking black aluminium posts, helping the gate integrate neatly with the fencing system.
